Precious Water

Each Spring the Mystic Arts Center has a juried exhibition with a theme that is open to all artists. This year's theme and title is 'Precious Water: A Personal Response'. Being a coastal town with a large artists community you can image the popularity of this theme so I was thrilled to find out that this print of mine had been chosen to be in the show.

'Drifting'
15" x 15" Gelatin Print Collage
The exhibition runs until May 21st. If you are in the area be sure to stop in to the see all the wonderful works on display.

  1. Yeah for you!! congratulations, Kathy!! I love the peaceful energy in the piece--what did you use to make the dividers between each print? is it all paper? fabric?

  2. Thanks Ileen - It is all paper. The prints are attached to heavy watercolor paper with acid free glue dots. I wanted the prints to be lifing off the paper a bit rather than glued flat and the glue dots did the trick. Have you ever tried any gelatin printing?

  3. Kathy, I have used gelatin molds to print on fabric--didn't think about using paper!! I will post some of my geletin fabrics on my blog--it was really fun.....I made quite a few but haven't turned many into a completed project. Your glue dots were a great idea!!
